Irish

savannahirishfestival.png

This may be one of my favorite projects ever. In my type and letterform class, I made a logo for a festival. The festival I was assigned was the Savannah Irish Festival. The theme was taken after the book of Kells. This was all done by hand and vectorized on Illustrator. I may just have to go to Savannah, Georgia and see what this
Irish festival is all about.

Anubis

This project was a hybrid of photoshop and illustrator elements The paper flying is added and tweaked to give the effect like it is falling. The illustration is of a stylized Anubis I made. I have always thought that the Egyptian culture is magical and
mysterious like no other place. That’s why I gave it a darker but a great level of contrasting colors. The Anubis was made to look Egyptian but have a cartoonish feel that I make.

Frankie Starr Identity

I was to make an art direction for my man Frankie for his music identity as Frankie Starr. My goal was to make a logo and supporting collaterals. The supporting pieces I made are the Prealbum launch, A Shirt, Letterhead set and Website.

Various studies of the letter K

In my type and letterform class, I was to make the first letter of my name in many different ways. The first letter of my name is a K. That letter happens to be the greatest letter to touch the planet earth.

About each from left to right:

1. The giraffe pattern one represents cutout. The letter has parts taken
away from it.
2. NYC is representing an addition of an image.
3. This was a free choice of mine. It is trying an 80’s crazy theme.
4. The rings represent repetition.
5. Everyone should know what that looks kind of like! This was
making an image have the feel of 3 dimensions.

Ice Cream please!

icecream1.pngicecream2.png
This project was created in one of my favorite classes, design layout. This is intended to be an advertising piece for a product. I wanted to advertise the shoe brand, Ice Cream. It was fun to make a piece like this because it is life size and you can move it around to make it look the way you want. I would like to put this in my portfolio so soon, I will take a picture of this with a better presentation.

DRAW!

yep.png

I realized that everything that I have shown is computer finished. So here is a part of an illustration that I drew by hand. Just so everyone knows, almost all my pieces and concepts finished and computer made began with drawings and sketches. It is important to sketch out ideas before making them. so DRAW ON!

Beastie Boys Posterrrrr

beastieboysposter.png
This old poster I made was supposed to be a collage of images for some sort of event. My poster was of the Beastie Boys concert in NYC. I am bummed because I did this in B&W but it was fun making it none the less. If you take a look at it, the word Beastie Boys is made up of cuttings I made that had just the word Beastie Boys found on Album Covers and other things. The BB part was just images and photos of the three amigos I love so dearly. haha. And the movie is the greatest DVD of a concert ever. Watch it!!!!!!!!
